But because me and my family narrowly escaped a severe snowstorm that was targeting the east coast, pending to hit right after the graduation. We just barely missed our flight back home. I thank God for keeping us safe and allowing me to walk & play🙏🏾. Thankful to have received my Information Technology bachelor degree and become a member of the class of 2024!!

In this video, I show how I made Philadelphia history performing at this event. Original Description: I given a call back by the team in charge of the Philadelphia Winterfest Tree Lighting Show to perform live at the Wawa Salute To Independence Parade. I had always wanted to perform in a Wawa Welcome America event but hadn't gotten the opportunity to until now. Shortly after I was confirmed for the gig, I received word that I was going to be the first Solo Saxophonist in the history of Philadelphia to perform at the Wawa Welcome America 4th of July Parade.
This was earth shattering news to me because, to my knowledge, I had never made major history for a city before. This lead to a huge interview with NBC10 Philadelphia with the news interview highlighting my upbringing as a self taught jazz musician and performing artist. I am very honored to have performed at this event and hope to one day perform at many more parades and festivals in both in and outside of the United States (would also love to perform at the Wawa Welcome America Festival and July 4th Concert one day!).

In this video, I perform my sax cover of Bruno Mars song That's What I Like. This song released on Monday, January 30, 2017. This is a classic Bruno Mars song.
“That’s What I Like” is the fourth song on 24K Magic by Bruno Mars. As the album’s second radio single, it took off after Bruno’s performance of it at the 2017 Grammy Awards.
In the song, Bruno tells a girl all the things he likes. These include beach houses, extravagant food, expensive cars and jewelry, and more. In doing so, he implies that the girl can have it all with him. The song was written by Mars, Philip Lawrence, Christopher Brody Brown, James Fauntleroy, Johnathan Yip, Ray Romulus, Jeremy Reeves, and Ray McCullough II. The former three produced the song under the name of Shampoo Press & Curl with the latter four, as the Stereotypes, co-producing it. Atlantic Records released the song to Hot AC radio in the United States on January 30, 2017, as the second single from the album. The song is a hip hop soul, new jack swing, R&B and funk track. The song's lyrics address extravagance, a luxurious lifestyle, and love.
The song was a commercial success in the US, where it peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100; it reached number three in Canada and number four in New Zealand. It has been certified diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and seven-times platinum by Music Canada (MC). The song also reached the top ten in Australia—where it was certified four-times platinum—Belgium, and Portugal. It stands as the highest-charting single in the US from the album. The song was the world's fourth-best-selling digital single of 2017, with 9.7 million units, ranking among the best-selling singles worldwide.

In this video, I perform my sax cover of Bruno Mars Finesse ft Cardi B.
“Finesse” is the 8th song on Bruno Mars' album 24K Magic. "Finesse" is a song by American singer Bruno Mars from his third studio album, 24K Magic (2016). The song was written by Mars, Philip Lawrence, Christopher Brody Brown, James Fauntleroy, Jonathan Yip, Ray Romulus, Jeremy Reeves and Ray McCullough II. The former three produced it under the name Shampoo Press & Curl, along with the latter four, as the Stereotypes. The song was composed after a jam session as Mars wanted to recreate the "new jack swing sound". Atlantic Records released a remix, featuring verses from American rapper Cardi B, as the album's fifth and final single on January 4, 2018. Musically, it is a new jack swing, hip hop soul and funk song. The lyrics demonstrate the happiness of being with who one loves and the positive outcome of that for them and others.
"Finesse" was well received by music critics, who complimented Cardi B's verses, on the remix, and compared them to the old-school hip hop flow. Moreover, according to critics, the song evokes the sound of Bobby Brown's album Don't Be Cruel (1988), Bell Biv DeVoe's track "Poison" (1990), and Michael Jackson's "Remember the Time" (1992). The song was a commercial success, peaking at number two in New Zealand, and number three in the United States and Canada. It has also entered the top ten of Australia, Ireland, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. The song was certified four and three times platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA), respectively. It was also certified platinum by both the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) and the Recorded Music NZ (RMNZ).

In this video, I perform my sax cover of Dua Lipa Levitating. Dua Lipa enlists DaBaby for another version of her March 2020 hit track “Levitating,” which appears on her sophomore studio album, Future Nostalgia. Dua Lipa’s second verse from the original song is replaced by a verse from DaBaby. The official music video was released the same day as the single release.
"Levitating" is a song by English and Albanian singer Dua Lipa from her second studio album, Future Nostalgia. The song was written by Lipa, Clarence Coffee Jr., Sarah Hudson, and Koz, who produced the song with Stuart Price, and stemmed from a Roland VP-330 synthesizer sample played by Koz. The song is an electro-disco and nu-disco song with several disco tropes. It incorporates elements of dance-pop, pop-funk, power pop and space rock, as well as 1970s, 1980s and 1990s pop and R&B styles. The lyrics describe the idea of "levitating" when falling in love, with several outer space references.
A remix of "Levitating" by American DJ the Blessed Madonna featuring Madonna and Missy Elliott was released for digital download and streaming on 13 August 2020 as the lead single from Lipa and the Blessed Madonna's remix album Club Future Nostalgia. It was categorized as an EDM, electro-disco, electro house, future bass, and techno track, with a throwback disco and trance vibe, and an increased tempo from the original. A second remix featuring American rapper DaBaby was released for the same formats on 1 October 2020 as the fifth single of Future Nostalgia, appearing on the bonus edition of the album. The remix impacted contemporary hit radio formats in the United States on 6 October 2020, serving as the album's third single in the country.

In this video, I perform my sax cover of Maroon 5 song Moves Like Jagger. This song released on Tuesday, June 21, 2011. This is a classic Maroon 5 song.
"Moves like Jagger" is a song by American band Maroon 5 featuring American singer Christina Aguilera. It was released on June 21, 2011, as the fourth and final single from the re-release of the group's third studio album Hands All Over (2010). The song was written by Adam Levine, Ammar Malik, Benny Blanco, and Shellback; the latter two are also the producers. "Moves like Jagger" is an electropop song with modern disco style elements and is backed by synths and electronic drums. The lyrics refer to a male's ability to impress a love interest with his dance moves, which he compares to those of Mick Jagger, the lead singer of the Rolling Stones.
"Moves like Jagger" was well received by music critics, who praised the song's chorus. Praise also went to the vocals of Adam Levine. Likewise, the song was a commercial success, going on to top the charts in over 18 countries. In the United States, "Moves like Jagger" became the band's second (after 2007's "Makes Me Wonder") and Aguilera's fifth number-one single and is among the best-selling singles of all time. The song also made Aguilera the second female artist to score a number-one hit in the 1990s, 2000s, and 2010s, which in turn made her the fourth woman to score number-one singles in three different decades.

In this video, I perform my sax cover of Pitbull NE YO 2 he moon. This song released on Monday, June 7th, 2024. This is the new Pitbull Neyo song.
2 The Moon is a single by Pitbull, Ne-Yo, and Afrojack released on June 7, 2024. This marks the first time in 13 years which the trio has collaborated together, the last time being on Pitbull’s 2011 hit single, “Give Me Everything”. Both Ne-Yo and Afrojack have collaborated with Pitbull multiple times since 2011 but not altogether. Also featured is DJ Buddha, a longtime and frequent collaborator who has produced many Pitbull songs and mixtapes.

In this video, I perform my sax cover of Usher song U Got It Bad. This song released on Tuesday, August 21, 2001. The song was featured on the Usher 8701 album.
"U Got It Bad" is a song by American singer Usher. It was released through Arista Records as the second official single from his third studio album 8701 (2001). It was written by Usher, Jermaine Dupri and Bryan-Michael Cox, and produced by Dupri, with Cox credited as co-producer. Released in the United States on August 21, 2001, "U Got It Bad" is an R&B ballad that, according to MTV, incorporates "digi-coustic" guitars, a "slow-burning bass line" and "sex funk" drums. The lyrics notably contain some quick direct allusions to other soul music ballads, mainly Maxwell's "Fortunate" and Prince's "Adore".
"U Got It Bad" was released to generally favorable reviews from critics. It became Usher's third song to top the US Billboard Hot 100 as well as the second consecutive single from 8701 to do so. Elsewhere, it entered the top five in Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom, and reached the top 40 on most charts that it appeared on. The song's accompanying music video, directed by Little X, was filmed as a two-part story with "U Don't Have to Call" and features Usher's then-girlfriend, TLC's Chilli, as his love interest.

This is my alto saxophone cover of Can You Stand The Rain by New Edition.

In this video, I perform my sax cover of Kendrick Lamar song Not Like Us. This song released on Saturday, May 4th, 2024. This is the Kendrick Lamar Drake Diss that was produced by DJ Mustard.
“Not Like Us” is Kendrick Lamar’s fourth diss track directed at Drake, released on the evening of May 4, 2024, less than 24 hours after the release of “meet the grahams,” his third dedicated diss. On the track, Kendrick avenges the West Coast for Drake’s controversial use of 2Pac and Snoop Dogg A.I. vocals on his song “Taylor Made Freestyle,” Drake’s second diss released via Instagram on April 19, 2024. It was removed shortly thereafter because of a cease-and-desist from the estate of the late Tupac Shakur.
Kendrick raps over a bouncy Mustard-produced beat which, typical of Mustard’s style, is inspired by hyphy—a genre of hip-hop popularized in Northern California. Kendrick’s zany vocal inflections and fast flows are reminiscent of Bay Area legend E-40, a personal favorite of his who was shouted out on October 2012’s “Money Trees”:

Me playing piano at a school cafeteria at West Chester University.

In this YouTube video, I experimented with alto sax Jazz improvisation. As a performing artist and songwriter, one of my favorite things to do is to have fun with jazz improv utilizing cross genre ideas. I played around with both Jazz and R&B Soul inflections and riffs and aimed to fuse the two sounds together to make something both unique and expressive. I find that playing the alto saxophone without confining myself into one genre allows for me to fully express my emotions through my music. Let me know if you would like for me to make more saxophone improvisation Jazz videos!

“BEST WEDDING MUSICIAN EVER!!!!
We cannot thank Ikechi enough for his performance at our intimate wedding in Philly! He was absolutely wonderful to work with - and even went so far as to learn a few new songs specifically for us to make our wedding day extra special. He created an absolutely unforgettable environment from the moment he started playing, and perfectly dictated the mood of our ceremony/cocktail hour with a progressive mix of chill, lively, and dancey vibes. It would be a massive mistake not to hire him - we truly cannot recommend him highly enough and will even try to convince some of our friends to hire him so we get to see him again!”
“Book Him! I had the pleasure of working with Ikechi for our Mother’s Day brunch at The Philadelphia Marriott Downtown, and he was nothing short of amazing! Not only is he genuinely talented he was amazing with our guests and left everyone wanting more after every song. Truly spectacular and memorable.”
“Ikechi Onyenaka and his jazz band performed at my Grandfather’s Celebration of Life last Saturday. Their performance was better than I could imagine. From the incredible & vast song selection to the extraordinary skill each musician showed. They were the highlight of the day and my grandfather would’ve loved to hear them play! The music they played filled the room with such joy and high spirits. They honored my grandfather’s life the right way and it was beautiful to see it. By the end of the event they received so much praise and everyone wanted to hire them for their next event. I know for sure I will be hiring them for my next major event that I host. To Ikechi and his band, thank you so much for putting on such an amazing show in honor of my grandfather, it made the day perfect!”
“Ikechi was the perfect musical addition at our birthday dinner! From the moment he started playing, he set the tone for an unforgettable night. His talent is absolutely undeniable and added so much life to our event. Beyond the music, he was an absolute professional: punctual, communicative, and incredibly accommodating. He even provided us with a microphone, helped capture moments with photos, and stayed an extra hour beyond our agreed timeframe just to keep the party going and ensure our guest had a fabulous time. He didn’t just perform; he became part of the celebration. If you’re looking to add something truly special to your event, Ikechi is the ONE! I can’t wait to book him again!”
“I had the extreme pleasure of helping coordinate Ikechi Onyenaka’s performance of the national anthem as part of Franklin University’s Jan. 5, 2025, commencement ceremony. His pre-event and day of collaboration to ensure a smooth and successful performance were incredibly professional and helped deliver a moving performance. In fact, his performance was so moving that the entire auditorium erupted into applause at the conclusion of his performance. He definitely created a memorable component to the ceremony.”
